Lucy is seven months old today. I'm usually quicker at putting this post up in the morning, but she was asleep when I left for work this morning, so it had to wait until we got home this afternoon. This picture is getting harder to take, because she is interested in the piece of paper that is sitting next to her (she wants to eat it). Lucy is getting so big. Here are some of the things that are new in the life of Lucy:
- She is sitting up on her own now. Sometimes she forgets her own strength and flails back, causing her to crash, but she's getting better.
- She's riding in the big girl car seat instead of the infant one (pictures of that to come)
- She must hate wearing socks, because she takes them off daily (most days we just give up)
- She loves to talk, especially to the dog, even though the dog could care less
- She loves her exersaucer and her jumperoo
- She loves all baby food except for prunes and peas and she's tried just about all of them (except the meat, because it freaks me out)
- She absolutely loves to feed herself puffs and she hates when she runs out of them on her highchair tray (little miss independent)
- She has 5 teeth (3 on the bottom, 2 on top)
- When she's on her stomach, she gets up on her knees and starts rocking (I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we have a crawler. BETTER START BABYPROOFING!!)
- The first thing she does when you pick her up from daycare is bury her head in your shoulder (we call it her version of a hug, it's so sweet)
We can't even remember what our lives were like before Lucy came around. She has brought so much joy to our lives and we love her to pieces. We look forward to every day with her and love to watch her explore and learn new things. It's truly amazing.
