Lucy's 3rd Birthday Party

Today was Lucy's big 3rd birthday party.  She wanted it to be princess, so everything was pink and princess.  Her big birthday present from us was a bounce house, so that was set up in the back yard for all the kids to play.  She had lots of friends there to celebrate with her.  It was a great time.
Her birthday cupcakes and rice krispie treats, both pink of course.

some more hanging out outside
The bounce house was a huge hit.  This is my adorable nephew Logan enjoying some bounce time.
Lucy didn't have much time to stop and pose for a picture.  Too much bouncing to do.
A whole crew of bouncers
Lucy made out like a bandit.  She got so many cool things.
Always helpers nearby to open presents (notice the sleeping twins in the swings in the background...they weren't impressed by present opening).
She opened every present by herself in record time
What's a princess party without a present of princesses?
Like I said, plenty of kids to help out.
Step 1: Posing with her birthday cupcake
Step 2: Blow out those candles
Step 3:  Enjoy that yummy cupcake

Happy 3rd Birthday Lucy

Today is Lucy's 3rd birthday.  Where does the time go?  Lucy is as sweet as can be.  This has become even more apparent once becoming a big sister.  Although she has her moments, we couldn't ask for a sweeter, kinder, more lovable little girl.  She is so smart.  Sometimes too smart.  She has an opinion on everything and isn't afraid to tell you how she feels (which can be good and bad).  She talks a mile a minute and everyday she says something that we've never heard her say before.  She can count to 10 (if she wants to), say her ABCs, and recognize her own name when it's spelled out somewhere.  At her 3 year appointment, she weighed in at 29 pounds and was 38 inches tall.  She is our little string bean.  Her birthday party isn't until next weekend, so we decided she needed a mini celebration on her actual birthday along with a present to open from Mommy, Daddy, Liam and Lucas.
Of course we had to blow out candles, so she had candles on her breakfast donut.
Showing off her present.  She got a Hello Kitty backpack and lunchbox to take with her when she starts preschool in a couple weeks.  She was so excited.

And just for fun, I thought we should reflect on the last 3 years to see how big our little girl as gotten.

FIVE Months Old

(Lucas -left, Liam-right)
The boys are five months old.  The keep changing so much in these pictures.  They keep growing like weeds.  No appointment this month, so not sure of exact growth, but they are definitely filling out.  The still love to talk and laugh.  Lucy is great at making them smile.  They LOVE to play in the exersaucer.  It's a great way to keep them off of the back of their heads since we are still working on rounding out their heads.  They love to grab at toys and EVERYTHING goes straight to the mouth.  You can tell by this picture that if they don't have a bib on for very long, they will be covered in drool.  They both have their 2 bottom teeth now which is the reason for all of the drool.  Needless to say, we go through alot of bibs in our house.  Still no sleeping through the night.  Between teething and both of them getting their first ear infections, something always seems to be interupting their sleep.  We'll get there eventually.  Fortunately, they gobble down a bottle and go right back to sleep, so it's not too bad to get up.  On another note, car rides are slowly improving as well.  There isn't always constant screaming from both of them.  A definite plus.  All in all, we are loving our family of five.

First Cereal

We were given the go ahead to start solid food, so we decided to try out some cereal with the boys.  Needless to say, I'm pretty sure that more ended up on their faces and bibs, then actually in their tummies, but they didn't seem to mind too much.  Practice makes perfect, so we'll just keep trying.

Loving Bath Time

It didn't take too long, but the boys now LOVE bathtime.  It's still a process getting it all done and it much easier if we are both home (or at least someone is there to help).  Bathtime used to be a scream fest, but now it's the perfect way to calm them down in the evenings.
