First Bath

The twins were finally able to have their first real bath.  It is definitely a little more challenging around here in the evening if it's bath night.  Three kids to get a bath takes some time.  I am already looking forward to when the twins can sit up well enough to take a regular bath and they can all take a bath together for awhile to make it a little easier.  We decided to divide and conquer.  Jason gave one a bath and then handed him over to me to get all dry and dressed while he gave the other one a bath.  Of course, big sister was right there to help give them their first bath (even though I didn't get a picture of that).
Lucas was calm and seemed to really enjoy bath time

Just chillin
All clean
Liam, on the other hand, was NOT a fan
Still screaming
By the end, he started warming up to the idea

Four Cousins

This picture cracks me up.  All of my side of the family was at our house for one of the Butler games, so we got all the cousins in for a picture.  By the way, we are on a ladder to take this picture.  The different sizes of all 4 of them is what is so funny to me.  Lucy and Logan look gigantic laying next to the twins.  This picture took several takes in order to get a decent one, and of course Lucy isn't smiling (but I'm getting kind of used to that for her.)

SLACKER

I know, I know, I've been a major slacker on the blog.  Needless to say, the whole time I was pregnant, between work, and Lucy, I was just too tired to do anything else.  But now that I am home for awhile, I got it in gear and got it done.  I went back and caught up on everything that has happened in the last 5 months, so feel free to scroll back and see what happened.  I vow to hopefully do a better job on updating from here on out, but I can't make any promises.  ENJOY!!

Time to go HOME!!

We were so lucky that the twins were healthy enough to be discharged at the same time as Mommy, exactly 48 hours after birth.  We were able to get home just in time for Butler's first round game (we were all decked out in our Butler gear).
Time to go home (GO BUTLER!)
All packed up (they look so tiny in there)

The twins are HERE

It's official.  We are a family of 5.  After arriving at the hospital at 6:30am, starting an IV, getting an epidural, and starting Pitocin, I was ready to push by 10:25am.  Because of the high risk delivery, I was wheeled back to the OR to deliver just for precautionary sake (fortunately it wasn't necessary).  Ten short minutes later Baby A arrived followed nine minutes later by Baby B.  Everyone is completely healthy and happy.  No complications from them being almost 5 weeks early.  They are PERFECT.  We are proud to introduce:

  Lucas Philip Eder

Liam David Eder

SURPRISE....the babies are coming TOMORROW

You read that correctly....the twins are coming TOMORROW.  Today I had my standard twice weekly non-stress test (I am currently 35 weeks pregnant).  The OB decided she would check me to see if I happened to be dilated at all, and SURPRISE, I was 7cm dilated.  Therefore, she said, no more waiting, the babies must come into the world.  I am scheduled to be induced tomorrow morning at 6:30, with 2 new babies likely before noon.  What a whirlwind!!!  Needless to say, we were shocked and frantically got everything together that we needed and figured out the plans for Lucy while we would be in the hospital.  We are so excited to meet these little guys.
