Landscaping Fun

Widened front bed, curved and dug new bed down side of house...planted three new emerald & gold euonymus in the front and four miss kim lilacs down the side...the unfinished portion in the back will house a sargent crabapple tree that will be delivered and installed next week sometime.

Dug new flowerbed along the side of our deck and planted 5 Goldflame Spireas.

Sargent Crabapple tree is ordered for this corner on the left...still have quite a bit of beds to cut.

Lucy makes anything fun...even landscaping

She is quite the helper...

The trouble was getting her to put mulch INTO the bed instead of taking it out and throwing it everywhere!

Lucy loves riding in the wheelbarrow

We finally put up a flag in the front of our house!

Easter

I was able to get Easter weekend off from work, so we had a really great weekend. Easter morning, we hung out at home so that the Easter bunny could visit Lucy. We then went to my Grandpa and Grandma Navarra's for Easter lunch and spent the afternoon with my side of the family. It was a very relaxing day. Here are some pictures from the day.
Lucy's Easter Bunny loot

The only picture I have of her with the basket. She wouldn't look at the camera, she was too interested in taking stuff out of the basket.

Once she saw the goldfish, they immediately had to be opened, so she had "blub blubs" (as she calls them) for breakfast.

Sporting her new Minnie sunglasses

Sorting through all of her new stuff

Opening up her gift from Nana and Papaw - she got a Woody doll

NCAA Final Four

Jason and I spent part of Easter weekend at the Final Four championship games at Lucas Oil Stadium. We have never been more proud to be Butler Alumni. It was such an exciting weekend and although they didn't come away with the championship, they had a fantastic season. One of the best parts of the weekend was seeing so many old friends as it seemed like every Butler alumni had traveled to Indy to watch the Bulldogs play. It was by far one of the greatest experiences of a lifetime. We are very excited for the next season. Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

Butler Bulldogs = Final Four

The Butler Bulldogs are going to the Final Four. We couldn't be more excited and more proud to be Butler alumni. The moment the game was over, we got online and bought our tickets for the Final Four games. We wouldn't miss this opportunity for the anything. Our household was all decked out to support our Bulldogs today.
GO DAWGS!!

More Recent Pictures

I have been trying to be better about taking pictures. Here are some from the past couple weeks.

Playing golf with her Minnie Mouse golf clubs
Rocking her pigtails
This is the face she would make when the See-N-Say made the rooster noise
Keeping an eye on Daddy downstairs
Lucy is now infatuated with dip (aka "di"). If she sees either of us dipping food, she must also have dip. Of course, she usually ends up taking off all the dip and starting all over. You actually have to take the dip away so that she will eat what she has in her hand.
We went to Rushville last weekend and spent some time at Nana and Papaw's house. She always goes straight for the tupperware drawer because she knows she's allowed to play in that one. She did some serious destruction this time and was very proud of herself.

Papaw and Kobe came over last weekend on Sunday so that Daddy and Papaw could do some maintenance work. Lucy enjoyed playing with Kobe. She usually always brings her books to Mommy in order to sit in her lap and read, but not while Kobe was here. She wanted to show Kobe everything instead. They are going to be good buddies.

Lucy has always been very interested in Mommy's sunglasses. She always takes them off my face, or off my head and tries to put them on. Instead, I showed her that she has her own sunglasses, so now she always wants them. Today, she needed them to watch Mickey Mouse.

Animal Sounds

This isn't the best video ever, but it may be all that I can get for awhile. I took this video of Lucy imitating her animal sounds. As I was playing it back to see how it looked, she became obsessed with the baby on the screen and watching the video. Now, every time she sees the camera, she says, "baby?" and wants to watch the video. I then showed her the video on the laptop, so now she tries to pick up the laptop, saying the same thing so that she can watch the video over and over and over again. I wanted to take a new video with more of her animal sounds, but she is only interested in seeing the baby on the screen, and not cooperating with my video. This will have to do for now. ENJOY!!!
